West Side Story written by Briguet Joseph

"West Side Story" is a terrible tragedy. This film is an adaption for "Romeo and Juliet" who was written by Shakespeare. "West Side Story" is a story of two gangs who meet: The "Jets" and "the Sharks". Among the "Jets" a boy fall in love with a girl (the daughter of the chief shark). The two lovers decide to stop fighting between two gangs. Unfortunately the story ends baldy and the lover "Tony" dies of a bullet in the back. The Story ends as the two gangs become friends.

Here are some common scene between "Romeo and Juliet" and "West Side Story":

-Two family confronts in "Romeo and Juliet": The family "Capulet" and la family "Montague". And in "West Side Story" tow gang confronts too: The gang Jets and the gang Sharks.

-In the two stories there is a love story between the two camps.

-The boys love, in the two stories dies: Romeo (in "Romeo and Juliet") and Tony (in "West Side Story").

-The two stories ends baldy. They are both tragedies.

Here the differences between the two stories:

-"Romeo and Juliet" is a play while "West Side Story is a film (at base).

-In "Romeo and Juliet", they married while in "West Side Story" they do not marry. There are a fake marriage.

-In "Romeo and juliet", Romeo and Juliette dies every two whereas in "West Side Story" alone the boy dies.

I think this movie is a great film but I find it quite sad for me. The end of "West Side Story" ends baldy. By cons I found that music is great. Otherwise the film is pretty. If the end of the film was not so sad, I find it wonderful.
