My opinion is that the film West Side Story is funny because there is the humor between two gangs; touching because Tony love Maria and she too. This film is terrific because, at the end, there is a tragedy about leaders gangs and tony as well.
I find that West Side Story is interesting because it is a musical film!
The story is famous and wonderful because we can see the personnality about each!
Similarities between West Side Story and Romeo and Juliet are, at the end, there is a tragedy and two characters fall in love.
And there is a rivalty between two gangs!
In West Side Story and Romeo and Juliet, lovers meet at a party.
Romeo is promised to Paris and Maria is promised to Chino!
Romeo and Juliet and West Side Story has been adapted for film.
Differences between West Side Story and Romeo and Juliet are, at the end, in Romeo and Juliet, lovers die while in West Side Story, only the man dies!
In Romeo and Juliet, the scene takes place in Italy whereas in West Side Story, in New-York. Romeo dies drinking poision while Tony dies assasinated.
Romeo and Juliet is a comedy musical whereas West Side Story is a piece of theater.
