West Side Story/Romeo and Juliet
West Side Story is a very friendly musical tragedy. This movie explains the difference and the rivalry between two gang: The Jets and The Sharks. The Jets are amerian and The Sharks are Puerto-Ricans. However both gang live in Although the end unexplained, this movie show the fraternity between members in the gang. This a funny american love story but at the end many characters die like the boss of the Jets and the boss of the Sharks. The special effects are very basics because this is a 50ths movie. What a pity that the boyfriend of Maria die.
I think there is some similarities between West side story and Romeo & Juliet. Indeed you can see similarities scenes such as the rivalry between two gangs and the love story between one members of each gang. Diffrently, Romeo & Juliet is a theater play while West Side Story is a movie. Beside both story are most famous in Europe because Shakespeare is well-known for his plays like Romeo & Juliet. I believe West Side Story is inspired from the fantastic play of Romeo & Juliet.
