West Side Story is a musical film directed by Robert Wise and Jerome Robbins.The scene takes place in New York City, in the West Side of Manhattan.
There are two different gangs of youths: The Jets and the Sharks. There is a gang war going on between them. Tony, a member of the Jets falls in love with Maria, Bernado's sister from the Sharks, which triggers the real fight with knifes ans guns.
It is the same story as Romeo & Juliet set in modern times. In Romeo & Juliet, there is a war between two families ( The Capulets and the Montagues ), In West Side Story there is a war between the Jets and the Sharks. At the end, Romeo & Juliet, the two main characters die because
each thinks the other is dead. In West Side Story, only Tony dies. and bernardo? and Riff?

It is a nice story, two lovers are fighting for their impossible love. It was a bit boring because the story is so well-known that we know what the ending will be.
This musical was too long, the begging??? was so tiring.
