THE SEA OF HANDS :

In 1788 the first contacts between English settlers and the aborigines were not very cordial.They counted near a million of indigenous divided into 500 tribes .The Indigenous Australians were mistreated and deprived of their lands ,indigenous children were removed from their parents to be placed in homes of "White" families .There are now over 60000 Aboriginals.

The Sea Of Hands is Antar's primary public education initiative and Australia's largest public art installed in every major city and many regional locations throughout Australia,and continues to gather signatures everywhere it appears.The Sea Of hands Has become a symbol of the people movement for reconciliation.On the one Hands this association was created to get Justice for indigenous peoples. On the other hand for the right to be themselves ,to enjoy their cultures ,languages,laws and traditions and to have their rights to land and cultural heritage respected and protected.

*Yellow color comes from the clay and yellow flowers

*Black color comes from the coal
