Virtualtourist.com(Alem Abdennour) Lyon, The City Of Lights!!!


After Paris and Marseille, Lyon is the third famous city in France. In the past it was the capital of the Gaul .This city has got everything you need, and a lot of place to visit, for exampLe Vieux Lyon, Place Terreaux, Place Bellecour, La Fourviere and the bigger commercial center in France, La Part-Dieu. Lyon is France's second biggest city with approximately 1,5 millions inhabitants. It is situated in the Rhone-Alpes and the access to other cities is great. The TGV goes every 30 minutes to Paris and takes 2 hours. It is also connects with Marseille. Lyon is a beautiful city divided by The Rhone and The Saone. Place Bellecour and Place Terreaux are two big squares in the city center and around there are several shopping streets. There a lots of town around there, for example Rillieux-la-Pape, Vaulx-en-Velin, Bron, Givors, ... It is very diversified city and the transport are great. It does not have an harbor because is far from the sea but it has an airport, Saint Exupery.
