ROCHAS Alexandra ( English food )

What is the traditionnal English Breakfast?

The traditional English breakfast consists in : bacon, saussages, black pudding, eggs, tomatoes, backed beans, mushrooms, potatoes, fried bread, cereals, toast and stewed fruit, tea and orange juice.

I think that the English breakfast is copious and very heavy, but varied!

What is a typical British lunch?

Many children at school and adults at work will have a " packed lunch ". This typically consists in : a sandwich, a packet of crisps, a piece of fruit and a drink.

The " packed lunch " is kept in a plastic container, otherwise called a lunchbox.

I think that the English lunch is really light but very practical!

The " five o' clock tea "

The " five o' clock tea " is a real ritual in England and other countries.
It is often accompanied with small cakes or scones.

What is a traditional British Dinner?

The evening meal is usually called " tea ", " dinner " or " supper ".

A typical British meal for dinner is " meat and two or three boiled vegetables served with potatoes.

I believe the English dinner is much too heavy for evening and should be better for lunch.

My opinion is that English meals are not as attractive and refined as French meals which are more varied !!!
